Coalesce and Undefine, 2019
A painting series that began with an interest in symbiosis in the natural world; primarily, the mutualistic relationship resulting in lichen, a life form composed of intertwined organisms.
Humans reflect this dynamic in the way we are an accumulation of various identities--our own, and then what we absorb from other people.
